One of my first purchases from this year's TFNation, this was a figure I'd had on my wish list since the start of the year, so when the doors to the main hall opened up on the Saturday morning, I immediately picked up the first one I saw. After months and months of waiting, this figure did not disappoint, and is the second best G1 Masterpiece figure that Takara have produced to date behind Star Saber. Every single aspect of this figure has been handled perfectly. The accuracy to the cartoon? Nailed it. The articulation? The best of any Masterpiece Autobot car to date. The engineering? Blimey! I didn't think they'd be able to include this level of complexity to a figure of this size, but once again, Takara managed to accomplish the impossible. £80 may seem pricey for an Autobot car to most collectors who are used to only paying between £40 and £60 for the previous releases, but for the amount of engineering and features you get with this guy, I'd say he's definitely worth paying the extra money. Of all my purchases from this year's TFNation, this was certainly the best, and is the very definition of a Masterpiece Transformer. Final ranking: Gold. Highly recommended.
